As the incense sticks gained popularity and market share increased, the problem of counterfeits propped up, which started to affect the goodwill of the company. The problem was eradicated by the incorporation of “Tear Tape” on all the individual packets, which has effectively warded off all counterfeit production of Metromilan brands.
